Sonja Hannah Crawford, 79, of Malvern, passed away on her 58th wedding anniversary, Thursday, August 2nd, 2012 at Aultman Woodlawn Compassionate Care Center, following a short illness.

Sonja was born in Providence, RI on February 19, 1933, the daughter of the late Arthur and Beatrice (Waterman) Kollbeck.

She was a member of Malvern United Methodist Church, and spent her life as a homemaker, wife and mother. She was a 1951 graduate of Central High school in Providence, RI.

Sonja is survived by her husband, Charles Walter Crawford, Sr.; two sons Victor C. Crawford II of Malvern, Charles W. (Viola) Crawford, Jr. of Malvern; four grandchildren Melody (Anthony) Cobb of Malvern, Matt (Jen) Crawford of Germany, Marc Crawford of Louisville, Jessica White of Malvern; and five great grandchildren.

Sonja is preceded in death by daughters Cheryl and Amanda Crawford, sisters Ruth, Lois, Gertrude and brothers Arthur Kollbeck, Jr. and William Kollbeck.

Funeral Services will be held in the Deckman-Bartley Funeral Home, Malvern at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 9th, 2012,with Rev. A. Wallace Anderson officiating. Calling hours will be held Wednesday 6 - 8 p.m. at Deckman-Bartley Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery.
