Stella Jane Kiko, 90, of St. Luke's Lutheran Community in Minerva, died Wednesday August 23. 2017.

Born in Massillon, Ohio, a resident of Canal Fulton when growing up, and later at Lake Cable in Canton and Minerva, she was a Member of St Gabriel's Catholic Church.  She was the daughter of George and Catherine (nee Hammer) Schroeder.

She married Willard Leroy Kiko, who predeceased her. They had three children: Philip (Colleen) Kiko, Dennis (Debohra) Kiko, and Janice (Tom) Kishman.  She also leaves behind nine grandchildren: Jamie Raap, Sarah Leiby, Philip Kiko Jr., Michael Kiko, Thomas Kishman II, Matthew Kishman, Kristen Meadows, Stephen Kiko, and Mitchell Kiko and seven great grandchildren: Walter and George Kishman, Effie and Quinn Mauler, Frederick and Charlotte Leiby, and Corwin Meadows.

In her younger years, Stella was a cosmetologist and subsequently was a stay-at-home mom raising three children.  In her spare time Stella raised schnauzer puppies, did women's hair on the side, loved to can vegetables from her husband's garden and spent time at the beach at Lake Cable during the summer with her children.  She had the reputation of being the life of the party. She loved to play cards, and was a member of several card clubs.  She was a great cook and kept an impeccably clean house. Stella love to discuss politics with her family and friends and had definite views on the issues confronting the country.  She was very patriotic partly because of being married to a WW II veteran and the fact she loved our country so much.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, Minerva at 11 AM on Saturday, August 26, 2017 with Celebrant Fr. Victor Cinson. Friends are invited to call Saturday, two hours before mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Luke's Activity Fund - St. Luke's Lutheran Community, 4301 Woodale Avenue, S.E., Minerva, Ohio 44657.
