Theodore Patrick Gahan Jr., age 73 of Malvern, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018 in the Aultman Compassionate Care Center. Ted was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on May 28, 1944 to Col. Theodore P. and Mary (Feeney) Gahan, Jr.
Ted loved his family. Humble, self-sacrificing and endlessly generous, he made others the center of his life. As an avid outdoor enthusiast he enjoyed—hiking, biking, golfing, and skiing. Ted had a natural gift and passion for teaching. His cleverness & fascination for "how things worked" was contagious. His calm demeanor and patience pulled the best out of everyone. With an enormous heart, he listened to any and all that crossed his path. He will be dearly missed for his dry sense of humor, wisdom and words of advice.
He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and a US Air Force Veteran. Ted was a teacher of Mathematics, Industrial Arts, and Drafting in the Brown Local, Perry, and North Canton Hoover High Schools. He taught Adult Education Classes in Industrial Arts, was a draftsman for BryDet and a member of the 'Tuesday Crew' at St. Francis Xavier.
