Thomas M. Burkhart, 68, of Malvern, passed away Tuesday, December 29th, 2015 at Rose Lane Nursing & Rehabilitation in Massillon.
Thomas was born in Canton, OH on April 24, 1947, a son of the late Leonard and Nellie (Kuhn) Burkhart.
He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and later worked as a systems analyst at the Hoover Company for 30 years.
He was a member and officer of Valley Post # 375 American Legion, a member of the VFW and enjoyed driving for the Veterans Service Board of Carroll County.
Thomas is survived by a sister, Sr. Janet Burkhart, HM, of Girard; three brothers, Donald (Sherrie) Burkhart, of Louisville; Ronald Burkhart, of Waynesburg; and Terry (Karen) Burkhart, of Apopka, Fl.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 125 Carrollton St., Malvern, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 4th, 2016 with Celebrant Fr. Vic Cinson. Calling hours will be held Monday 10 - 11 am. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
Burial will be Tuesday, January 5, 2016 in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
