Virginia Olive Reed
Virginia Olive Reed, 92, of Minerva, passed away Tuesday, February 1st, 2011 in her home.
Virginia was born in Coffee Creek, Montana on August 2, 1918, the daughter of the late Sumner and Augusta (Paul) Pettit.
She was a teacher who taught in the Minerva and Louisville School Districts. She was a member of First Christian Church of Minerva, and the State Teacher's Association.
Virginia is survived by two sons Steven Reed of Camarillo, CA and Michael Reed of Minerva; a sister, Betty Drury of Orinda, CA; and a brother, William Pettit of Oroville, CA.
She is preceded in death by her husband Abe Reed, a brother Charles Pettit, and a sister Evelyn Pettit.
Graveside services will be held at Liberty Cemetery at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 4, 2011 with Mr. Ralph Norman officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.
