William John Francis

William John Francis, 93, of Minerva, passed away Monday, January 7th, 2013 at Minerva Eldercare.

Bill was born in New Castle, PA on December 5, 1919, a son of the late Charlotte (Williams) and William B Francis.

He was the owner of Francis Good Food and Coffee in Minerva for 37 years and a member of The First Presbyterian Church.

He was active in the Rotary Club of Minerva with 56 years of perfect attendance. He was a Past President, Paul Harris Fellow, and chaired the Special Children's Party for many years.

Bill is survived by his wife of 69 years Mary (Kemp) Francis; three daughters, Charee Francis-Vogelsang, of North Canton; Cathy (Luther) Stack, of Minerva; Cindy (Brian) Persing, of Lantana, TX; grandchildren Bill Earley of North Canton, Todd (Tonia) Earley of Minerva great-grandchildren Carsen and Jaxon Earley, Tracy (Donnie) Polen of Minerva, Angel (Mike) Kerr of Minerva, Michael (Carrie) Stack of Carrollton; 19 great-granchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Charles (Molly) Francis, of Silver Spring, MD.

Funeral services will be held at the Bartley Funeral Home at 11:00 a. m. on Wednesday, January 9th, 2013 with Rev. Ben George officiating. Calling hours will be Wednesday, one hour before services.
