William Franklin Hamilton, age 76 of East Rochester, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. Bill was born in Minerva, Ohio on January 5, 1942 to David and Phyllis (Walker) Hamilton.
Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also was a musician. He worked at TRW as an engineer for about 20 years.
Bill is survived by his wife, Barbara Hamilton of Paris, OH; four daughters, Karen Oberlin of Paris, Connie (Bill) Hamilton of Paris, Lorie ( Marc Ellis) Smalley of East Rochester, and Hollie (Jeff Henson) Hamilton of Robertsville; grandchildren, Ashlee (Dave) Church, Ryan (Taylor) Oberlin, Alexis (Will) Beaudry, Taylor Hamilton, Morgan Hamilton, Katlyn Smalley, Madison Mayle and Cameron Mayle; great-grandchildren: Isaiah, David, Emmalee, Mollee, and Lincoln Church, Lola and Rhett Oberlin, and Owen Beaudry; three sisters: Joyce Park of Minerva, Pat Curry of Minerva, Robin (Jeff) Hole of Minerva; two brothers, Jim (Gloria) Hamilton of Minerva and Darrell (Sonnie) Hamilton of Louisville, and Uncle Jim Walker of Minerva.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by three sisters: Gloria Williams, Evelyn Walter, and Jody Hamilton; and two brothers: David Hamilton and John Hamilton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Gabriel Church, 400 West High Street, Minerva, Ohio, on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Celebrant Fr. Vic Cinson. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Bartley Funeral Home, 205 West Lincoln Way, Minerva.
