Willya Marie Jentgen, age 89 of Malvern, passed away at her home on Monday, October 8, 2018. Willya was born in Geneva Switzerland on February 6, 1929 to Ernest and Bertha (Von Allman) Waldburger.
Willya always had a smile and a positive attitude. She had an avid love of books and music. She was fluent in four languages and worked as a translator for Firestone Rubber in Akron. Willya also worked as an Aide at the Stark County MRDD Workshop. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Minerva.
Willya is survived by her son, David (Jeannette) Jentgen; granddaughters, Christine Brink of Carrollton, Heather Boord of Minerva, Yvonne (Michael) Lee of North Canton, Annmarie (Jason) Steed of Plain Township; 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
In addition to parents, Willya is predeceased by her husband, Rene Jentgen; a son, Larry Jentgen; a sister, Suzane Braje; and a brother, Fernand Waldburger.
Funeral services will be held at Deckman-Bartley Funeral Home, 434 West Main Street, Malvern, Ohio, on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Daniel Callahan of First Presbyterian Church of Minerva officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Deckman-Bartley Funeral Home.
